Note: Before installing, Kodi on your firestick, we need to enable developer options. After we enable developer options we will be able to install the Flex Kodi Build
Enabling Developer options on a Firestick
We’ll explain what the developer options are and how you can access them on the Amazon streaming device.
Amazon has changed some features on the firestick and these days made it a little different in jailbreaking your firestick, before you load anything on the firestick you need to have developer options enabled, and if you don’t see developer options on your device, please follow these steps to enable it.
Click the gear as numbered (1) in the picture
Click “My Device” or “My Fire TV” whatever the name of your device might be.
Once clicked you should see the next screen if you see “Developer options” that means you have already enabled them. If not click on the About button
After click on the device name, about 6-8 times until it states you are a developer. You have successfully enabled developer options.
You have successfully enabled “Developer” options on a firestick, which will allow you to install 3rd party apps on your firestick. Follow the next steps
Press the home button on your firestick and lets install Kodi 19.4 before we add Flex Kodi Build
Scroll down to Find and click into the search Box and type in Downloader
Click the middle of your D-pad Amazon firestick remote to bring up “Downloader”
Once you click and search for it you will see it on the screen as an orange icon.
Highlight the orange “Downloader” icon and click on it.
Click the “Download” button.
Click the Open button, you have successfully installed “Downloader” on your firestick.
Press Allow, followed by OK
In the URL box input kodi.tv and press the GO button in Downloader, it’s going to take you to the official Kodi.tv website
Scroll with the red cursor through the Kodi.tv site and click Download Now button as shown.
On the Download page scroll until you see an Android icon and click on it.
Scroll down to ARMV7A (32bit) all firestick devices currently will work with this version, Do not select 64bit or other versions. Right now we are selecting Kodi 19.4, but as you can see we can select the version that is the newest, this will always display the newest version on the Kodi.tv page.
The download process, should start of the newest version of Kodi, if you have not yet turned on security settings for downloader, you might be promoted to turn it on, simply follow this to turn it on, press the back arrow twice on the firestick remote to head back to the install process in downloader.
Click Settings
Install Unknown Apps
Toggle the Downloader switch ON. Press the back arrow on a firestick twice to return to Downloader
Press the install button now to install newest version of Kodi.
After the app gets staged you can press Install to install Kodi.
You will see ready to launch, now you can launch Kodi.
WARNING, we recommend turning a VPN on before installing any Kodi build.
Press the Continue button once Kodi is open. You now successfully installed Kodi, but before we load the build let’s make sure our VPN is on to be fully protected
Press Home, on your firestick
Search for SurfShark, VPN.
Click on “SurfShark” VPN to install it.
Press the Open button.
Press the Login, button to get your own account simply click here, at a huge discount! sign up for an account it will keep you safe and protected using Kodi, and various content that might be blocked by your ISP will be available when using a VPN.
Once you go to their site, choose your plan it’s literally costs less than a cup of coffee, more content, geo-blocked content, anonymous and fully protected.
Press the login button, once you are able to sign in with your SurfShark credentials.
Choose United States, server this will give you the best content and unlock most content for you. Press the Quick-connect
Press OK on the connection request screen
We are not fully protected let’s proceed loading our application.
Let’s click Home and go back into Kodi.
Click the Gear icon.
Click File Manager
Click Add Source
Click into None field and input http://diggzrepo.ddns.net
Press the OK button once you entered the URL above.
Make sure to fill in the media source name if required, you can put anything in this field, and press OK
If we did not get an error, it means the build URL added successfully. Press the back arrow twice on your firestick to get to the main menu of Kodi
Click on Add-ons, as shown
Click on Drop box folder as indicated
Click on Install from File
Click on Settings on security screen
Click on Unknown Sources and enable the toggle switch to the ON position
Proceed by clicking Yes (We have now enabled 3rd party installs in Kodi), click the back arrow once on your firestick remote
Click again Install from Zip file
Click Yes
Click on diggz URL we added earlier or whatever you referenced the URL
Click on the Install Matrix 19 Repo and press OK (If you are using Kodi 20, you can click on the Install Matrix 20 Repo)
click on repository.diggzmatrix.zip to install repository
Click back and click Install from Repository
Click Diggz Matrix Repository
Click Program Add-ons
Click on Chef Matrix Wizard
Click Install, please note if you get an error make sure your VPN is on, if you still get an error try changing VPN servers.
Click OK, to install additional add-ons if required
After a successful install, click on the Chef Matrix Wizard to open the Wizard.
Click Open to open to wizard
Click on the Chef Matrix Wizard
Note: Diggz build are retired for now, but there is two available builds today I am recommending Bladez – Flex Kodi Matrix Build
Click Install
Press Yes Install, the build should install and extract. If you get an error make sure your SurfShark VPN is on.
Click OK.
Give it 10 minutes for Flex Build to load and you are ready to use Flex Build
